Odenville is looking for residents who want to make a lasting impact on the community. If you care about preserving Odenville's character while planning for its future, consider applying to serve on the City's first Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission will help guide Odenville's future growth and development by reviewing the Comprehensive Plan, advising the Mayor and City Council on planning matters, and reviewing development proposals and subdivision plats as required by state law.
Who Should Apply?
The City encourages residents from all backgrounds to apply. Ideal candidates are individuals who:
• Care about Odenville and its future.
• Are willing to attend monthly meetings and review planning materials.
• Can consider issues fairly and objectively.
• Want to help preserve and enhance the community's quality of life.
No prior planning experience is required. Training and resources will be provided to help commissioners understand their role and responsibilities.
Time Commitment
The Planning Commission is expected to meet at least once each month. Additional meetings may be scheduled as needed.
