Thank you to everyone who joined us on February 23 for the Development Strategy & Future Land Use Workshop!

The City of Odenville, in partnership with the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham, welcomed residents, business owners, and property owners to review draft materials connecting the community’s vision to a Development Strategy and draft Future Land Use Map. Together, participants explored potential growth areas, commercial nodes, preservation priorities, and shared feedback on where and how Odenville should grow in the years ahead.

Under Alabama law, a Future Land Use Map must be adopted as part of the Comprehensive Plan before zoning regulations can be considered. This workshop was an important early step in that long-term planning process and did not involve adopting zoning or making regulatory decisions.
